Papaya: much more than a fruit!

Papaya is the smart system developed by ESN to create the perfect match! We connect local students (Buddies) with incoming international students, based on similar fields of study, shared hobbies, and common interests.

Why get a Buddy?

A Buddy is not just a new friend: they will become your reference point in Parma. Whether you need info on transport, bureaucratic help, tips on where to buy groceries, or simply someone to grab a coffee with, your Buddy will be there for you!

How to sign up (fast and easy)

Forget complicated procedures. You can manage everything comfortably from your PC or phone browser:

  • Access the Web platform: Click the button below and register using your Google account, Facebook, or your email.
  • Create your profile: Select ESN ASSI Parma as your section. Enter your details (studies, languages spoken, contacts) and tell us a bit about yourself and your hobbies. The more details you give us, the better the match will be!
  • Wait for the match! Once completed, relax. The ESN ASSI Parma team will work to find your ideal Buddy and you will receive an email notification as soon as the match is made.

Do you prefer using your smartphone? Papaya is also available as an app on the App Store and Google Play, but we recommend the web version for a better profile completion experience.
