ESN Italia: The National Network

ESN Italia is the Italian network of university associations belonging to Erasmus Student Network International, the largest student organization in Europe founded in Copenhagen in 1990. Our goal? To promote student mobility and provide an information and support service made by students for students.

ESN Italia today:

54 Local Sections | 20,000+ Members and Volunteers

The Origins (and Parma's role)

The Italian network was officially born on October 22, 1994. And do you know the best part? Parma was one of the founding sections! Together with Siena, Pavia, Milan, Trento, Bologna, and Genoa, we created this big family to coordinate activities at a national level.

Our Objectives

We are a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-denominational association. Our main goals are:

  • Welcome and Advice: From finding accommodation to tutoring and organizing cultural events that foster the integration of international students.
  • Information: We provide updated support on European exchange programs.
  • Evaluation: We analyze mobility programs to improve them every year.

What we do: Projects and Events

At a national level, we work on initiatives with high social and cultural impact:

The Projects

  • SocialErasmus: Volunteering and social impact.
  • Erasmus and Sport: Integration through sports.
  • EiS (Erasmus In Schools): International students in local schools.
  • ExchangeAbility: Accessible mobility for students with disabilities.
  • Erasmus & Culture: Promotion of cultural heritage.

The Main Events

  • EN (National Event): 3,000 international students in May at a seaside location.
  • ICE (Incontro Culturale Erasmus): A weekend of art in Rome in November.
  • NEG (National Erasmus Games): The Erasmus Olympics!
