Andremo a vedere la versione in francese di ”Macbeth”, una delle tragedie più brevi ma anche più toccanti di William Shakespeare: più nello specifico si tratterà dell’adattamento operistico di Giuseppe Verdi su libretto di Francesco Maria Piave.
La vicenda è ambientata nella Scozia del Medioevo ed è incentrata sulla figura di Macbeth, un nobile generale a cui viene predetto il futuro da tre streghe, le quali gli assicurano che diventerà re. Egli non vede l’ora che il suo destino si compia, ma fino a dove è disposto a spingersi pur di diventare il nuovo sovrano di Scozia?

To start this new year together in a big way, we propose an unforgettable show at the Teatro Regio in Parma!
We are going to see the French version of "Macbeth", one of the shortest but also one of the most touching tragedies by William Shakespeare: more specifically, it will be the operatic adaptation by Giuseppe Verdi to a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave.
The story is set in medieval Scotland and centres on Macbeth, a noble general whose future is foretold by three witches, who assure him that he will become king. He cannot wait for his destiny to be fulfilled, but how far is he willing to go to become the new monarch of Scotland?
